Komal has inherited the legacy of kathak by birth. Born to the internationally acclaimed doyen of kathak, the late Pandit Parveen Gangani of Jaipur gharana. She started her learning from an early age of 8 by her guru & father and accompanied him on various national and international assignments. Komal is the first girl in the family to take up kathak professionally and completed her visharad in kathak from Prayag Sangeet Samiti. She is a future kathak exponent in the making—earning a vast profile at a young age. She performed for the first time in Moscow, Russia. Since then she has performed at various national festivals in India and has given many international performances.
